Personal Injury

By January 29, 2016

Personal injury is a broad term in the legal field.  In essence, it is the umbrella term for any injury to a person’s body, mind, or emotions, that results from the defendant’s intentional or unintentional actions, including negligence.  Personal injury may result in obvious injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, fractured or broken bones, bruising, and worse.  Personal injuries may also be less obvious, including soft tissue damage, complex regional pain syndrome, or concussion.  Personal injuries that harm plaintiffs emotionally or mentally may include disorders such as PTSD, anxiety or depression, or even personality changes as the result of severe trauma to the head, for example.
