Lynn Whitlock has over 30 years of litigation experience, the first 20 years specializing in “insurance defense” – providing a defense on behalf of insurance companies to their insureds against personal injury claims. Her practice is now focused on representing the injured party. Lynn brings knowledge of how insurance companies think, act, and evaluate claims. Lynn also has experience in employment law, focusing on wage and hour issues, including class actions, and is skilled in complex litigation, involving many parties, and/or complicated issues of law. Lynn has also sat as a pro tem small claims court judge, and as a non-binding arbitrator of personal injury cases.
Lynn Whitlock’s skills include legal writing, and she has experience in appellate work. She is credited with a number of published, as well as unpublished appellate decisions, including Conroy v. Regents (2009) 45 Cal. 4 th 1244; Regents v. Superior Court (2010) (rev. den. 6/23/10); Bennett v. Regents (2007), 2007 WL 2966130; Francesca C. v. Superior Court , (2006) 2006 WL 2523126; Taati v. Lynn graduated summa cum laude from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and obtained her law degree from the College of William and Mary, in Williamsburg, Virginia. Lynn has also passed the Virginia and Colorado bar exams.
Lynn lives in Laguna Beach with her family, including two teen-age boys. She enjoys surfing, paddle boarding, skiing, and hanging with her family.
