Settlement Mediation

By January 29, 2016

Most personal injury lawsuits will attempt to reach resolution through a settlement mediation, also called simply “mediation.” This process, which takes place outside of court, is designed to help parties reach agreement over liability and compensation to be awarded to a plaintiff.  A third party alternative dispute resolution neutral (AKA mediator) will try to facilitate an agreement between parties and their attorneys which both sides can agree upon, in order to avoid the time and financial costs that emerge when cases go to trial.
