Occupational disease

Any ailment that occurs as a result of occupational or work activity. It is an element of wellness and occupational safety. An occupational disease can be identified by being more widespread in a body of employees than in the general population. Occupational risks that are of a traumatic nature (like falls by construction personnel) are not considered to be occupational diseases.
